Who are appropriate candidates for liposuction?

Individuals having body-mass index under 30, keeping their weights constant for 6 months and having excessive fat in certain regions of their bodies are candidates for liposuction. The more skin flexibility is present in the region that liposuction is applied, the more can the patient benefit from the process.

How is liposuction performed?

A special serum is injected to the desired region under general anesthesia. Then, the lipids are broken up with subcutaneous vaser or laser through small incisions of 1 cm and lipids are vacuum-drained with cannulas that do not lead to trauma. The region is energized with laser in order to increase the tightness of the skin.

What are the areas of the body convenient for liposuction?

Liposuction may be performed on the double chin, arms, breasts, back, waist, thighs and inner sides of the knees.

How is the process after the operation?

If liposuction is performed on multiple areas, then the patient is recommended to stay at the hospital for the night. After the operation, corsets specific to the area of operation are provided to the patient and he/she is asked to use them for 3-4 weeks. Diet and exercise will increase the efficiency of the operation. The patient can turn back to his/her social life after 1-2 weeks.
